PROCESS MAPPING
AS IS / TO BE.Process modeling.
AS IS / TO BE are phases of BPM, which allow us to offer improvements to business processes, and they involve two distinct moments; AS IS and TO BE.
AS IS is the vision of current processes, while TO BE is the vision of your business' future processes, whether primary, support or management processes.
AS IS helps in exploring and creating a common vision, both of ruptures and deviations in processes that are already underway.
TO BE is the design of new processes, it leads to healthy changes and improvements with best practices, based on the AS IS mapping.
When is AS IS / TO BE advantageous for my business?
UPDATE AND REVIEW OF STRATEGIC PLANNING:
In both cases AS IS / TO BE is advisable, as it is a moment of reflection, especially on the objectives outlined in the processes, because it is at this stage that we identify points in the processes that are disconnected from the strategy initial.
DROP IN ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE:
Low performance and/or process inefficiency is something to be considered. AS IS helps to detect these bottlenecks, providing information necessary to be discussed. TO BE will help remodel these processes that are harmful to your business, recovering performance and making your processes more efficient through new strategies adopted by mapping.
ACQUISITION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND/OR EXCHANGE OF YOUR ERP:
In times of BPM, business processes are supported by new technologies, when implementing new resources, the question arises: Is this innovation necessary for my business? AS IS / TO BE will help your business with a panoramic view of the new resource, processes and their impacts. Your decisions will be based on strategic mapping, enabling results and efficiency of routines.
Other points to consider.
1. Problems to avoid – Manual processes, loss of information, rework, dependent and out-of-sync departments, inefficient and unsafe routines.
2. Create/Develop – Automated processes, organization of management information, visibility and productivity/performance.
Before implementing any system there is a process to be defined. The objective of mapping is to survey the current process, identify GAPS, manual controls, rework and then present improvements and the best platform for an ideal solution and process automation.
SUCCESS STORY
Yokogawa
AS IS, carried out by B4C helped us a lot, as there was no designed process flow in BPM methodology. B4C did the mapping using the AS IS methodology and helped us design this process in BPM, using Fluig to execute it.
The proposed TO BE was the customization of the entire quotation system in Protheus together with the integration of Fluig, creating a check list process, before the quotation becomes a sales order, avoiding human errors in validation and attention.
We at Yokogawa really like B4C!
The commitment to delivering the project and the technical capacity of its professionals led to a reduction in the volume of errors with the checklist generated in Fluig. Today, we have recorded budget approvals before becoming sales orders, in addition to speeding up the creation of proposals.
Furthermore, I rate B4C 9 out of 10!
B4C has many good professionals for development projects, they helped us and continue to help us adjust processes to the system and automate them.
